A spectacular sophomore season has translated into a ticket to the next level for Sacramento State sophomore forward Donovan Sessoms, who was selected with the first pick of the third round (No. 61 overall) by expansion side San Diego FC in the 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft on Dec. 20.

Three Hornet seniors were named all-Big Sky Conference on Nov. 26, including outside hitters Bridgette Smith and Caitlin Volkmann being named to the first team, and rightside hitter Ellie Tisko named second team.
