CHP Highlights New Laws for 2025

As we head into the new year, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) is highlighting the new public safety laws that were passed during this year’s legislative session and signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom. Unless otherwise noted, the laws referenced below took effect on Jan. 1.
