WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) - West Sacramento’s favorite four-legged landscapers are back. The West Sacramento Goats have returned to The Bridge District and will be grazing in various locations through early July.

These hardworking herds tackle overgrown vegetation in hard-to-reach areas such as the Barge Canal banks, Clarksburg Branch Line Trail and along the river near the Tower Bridge.

By clearing dry weeds and brush, the goats play a vital role in the City of West Sacramento’s fire suppression efforts in coordination with the West Sacramento Fire Department and Parks and Grounds Division.
