Locate Food and Hotel Destinations for A’s Games in West Sacramento

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) – The recent arrival of the Athletics to the Sutter Health Park to play their 2025 home games is a big change for fans and game-goers. From those coming into town for the game to locals interested in being more informed about what’s around Sutter Health Park, here is a guide of what to look out for in West Sacramento.
There are many options available for food, drinks, hotels and transit options surrounding the stadium.
It is best to have a plan ready on how to get to the game. To help accommodate fans getting around West Sacramento, the city has launched a rideshare app called Via West Sac. Rides are available at an affordable and flat fare of $3.50, $1.75 for senior citizens.
Public transportation is available through Yolo bus route 42 from Davis, West Sacramento and downtown Sacramento that makes stops next to the ballpark on Cabaldon Parkway.
For the Athletics supporters coming out of town, especially those from the Bay Area, Amtrak’s Capital Corridor train route takes riders up to the Sacramento station that is about a mile away from the ballpark. One-way tickets are $29.
Getting a bite before or after the game at the local food scene is a great way to catch specials.
Restaurants such as Drake’s The Barn right around the corner from Sutter Health Park are offering A’s game day deals on foods such as pretzels with beer cheese, chicken ranch wraps, hot dogs and barbeque plates. A specialty drink is also available, the “Home Rum!” which is a tropical rum punch with a blue curacao float which turns the drink green.

Athletics supporters coming from out of town and staying in West Sacramento should get to know the best lodging available.
There are several places nearby to stay and rest after the game. For those looking for a nice and affordable visit within West Sacramento, the SpringHill Suites and the Hampton Inn & Suites offer rooms for under $200. Both are located approximately 10 minutes driving distance from Sutter Health Park.
Crossing the river on I Street Bridge and heading down Jibboom Street are more affordable and comfortable options available that are less than five minutes away in car. Hotels with rooms starting at $100 or less a night include the Best Western Sandman Hotel, Comfort Suites Downtown Sacramento and Howard Johnson by Wyndham.
If folks who would like to experience the Downtown Sacramento atmosphere during their stay can consider hotels such as (in order of lowest to highest price) the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown starting at $170 a night, The Exchange starting at $295 a night and Hyatt Centric Downtown for around $220.
Kimpton Sawyer Hotel is offering two new packages specifically for A's game-goers. “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” is a family-focused package starting at $434 a night. It includes complimentary valet parking, reusable water bottles, a $100 in-room dining credit, and ballpark-favorite amenities like peanuts, cracker jacks and beers for parents. Reservable roundtrip stadium transportation is also provided.
Their second package, called “Home Run,” is an adult-only package that comes with complimentary valet parking, a reservation for a private poolside cabana at the hotel’s rooftop pool deck and restaurant, and a surprise baseball-themed welcome amenity. It also includes a $100 credit for post-game cocktails and roundtrip stadium transportation. This package starts from $484 to $594 a night.
For game-goers wanting a closer and more luxury accommodation, cross the Tower Bridge and arrive at the Embassy Suites Sacramento Riverfront Promenade with rooms starting at around $380 to $433 a night.
