Storm Season – It’s storm season. Remember that when West Sacramento is expecting a significant amount of rain sand and bags are made available are available. West Sacramento Public Works makes sandbags available for West Sacramento residents and businesses at the Port of West Sacramento entrance, located at 2895 Industrial Blvd.

Bags can be picked up at the guard shack and residents are advised to bring their own shovels. Be prepared. Pick up free sandbags before storms.

Reporting Flooding – To report minor flooding, clogged storm drains, or downed trees, please call Public Works at (916)617-4850 or visit WEST SAC CONNECT to file a report.

Sign up for the Alert System – You can sign up to get local emergency alerts from the Sacramento Yolo Placer Alert, Sacramento Region Emergency Notification System. Sign up at wsac.city/alerts

Last Weekend To See Van Gogh In West Sacramento – December 31, 2023 will be the last day that you will be able to visit the Van Gogh Immersive Experience. The exhibit will be closed, until it is decided what exhibit will take its place. There are plans for another exhibit to replace the Van Gough exhibit, but no plans as to what exhibit will replace it.
