WEST SACRAMENTO (MPG) - Monday night at 9:21pm West Sacramento Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a car accident on West Capitol Avenue and Westacre Road. When Police arrived, they found a white Toyota and a grey Audi which had crashed. The accident left the adult male driver of the Audi dead. Two adults, one male and one female were critically injured in the Toyota. With the help of West Sacramento Fire Department and AMR, the people were extracted from the Toyota and transported to the hospital. The man from the Toyota is expected to make it. There is no update on the woman’s condition.

The accident also left one adult male pedestrian with minor injuries. Police believe that speed was a factor with estimates of over 100 mph. They are unaware if alcohol or drugs were a contributor to the accident. The investigation has been turned over to the Traffic Division for further investigation. No names have been released yet.
