Both teams don their flags for the upcoming flag football game that kicked off homecoming week!
BIGGS, CA (MPG) – As the ladies of Biggs High School prepared to take the field in another long-standing Homecoming tradition, the Powder Puff game, it became apparent that the seniors didn’t come to mess around.
Due to the school’s size, the teams were comprised of seniors and freshmen in black and green and sophomores and juniors in white and green.
Educator Adam Sharrock announced the team rosters as the seniors/freshmen team stormed the field through a blow-up tunnel in their endzone. The junior/sophomore team would run onto the field wielding Wolverine green flags in a cloud of smoke for dramatic flair.
The game got off to a quick start with a senior player drawing first blood with a touchdown five minutes into the game. They would score only six points though as the conversion attempt was no good.
The ladies would continue to battle it out on the field, going into halftime with a 6-0 score. Ready to go to work, the teams took the field and the action got more intense as the clock ticked down.
Ultimately, the senior/freshmen team would put the game away in exciting action, as the final play of the game was yet another touchdown for the seniors/freshmen. The senior/freshmen team was victorious 12-0.
