GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – In honor of Breast Cancer Month and Breast Cancer Survivors in our area, Orchard Hospital hosted its annual ‘Pampered In Pink’ event.

The event invites survivors and even those still battling cancer to come enjoy themselves in a relaxed setting, taking advantage of information, listening to the stories of other survivors, and enjoying pampering sessions, such as eyebrow threading, massage, manicures and more.

This year’s event was a brunch held at the Purple Line Winery in Oroville. Speakers Margaret Hughes and local business owner, Cindy Stowe, shared their personal stories about their battle with breast cancer, while Radiology Technologists Michelle Dearmore and Ashley Dedecker spoke on the importance of getting regular mammograms.

It is never too early to get checked. If it has been one year or longer since your last mammogram screening, you may call the Medical Specialty Center directly to schedule and appointment. A diagnostic mammogram would require an order from your provider. Please contact the Medical Specialty Center at 530-846-9079 to schedule your appointment or for any other questions.
