Local Churches Host Middle Schoolers Summer Camp
Jul 28, 2022 12:00AM ● By By Cindy ScottBUTTE REGION, CA (MPG) - Several churches in the Biggs, Gridley, and Live Oak area are sponsoring a free summer Christian camp for incoming 6th graders through outgoing 8th graders fittingly called “Mission: Possible.” The exciting activities will happen over two days, August 5-6.
The youth will first meet Friday, August 5 at Calvary Chapel of Gridley at 210 Park Street at 6:00 pm for dinner and a glow-in-the-dark extravaganza. The evening will end about 10:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Gridley at 100 Vermont Street.
Students will meet Saturday for lunch and then a bicycle scavenger hunt–biking between multiple destinations throughout Gridley to solve riddles and participate in “Mission: Possible” activities. An adult/older student will accompany the groups as they bike through town. Youth will need a bicycle, helmet, towel, and change of clothes. Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the afternoon.
Parents are invited to join the students from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Saturday evening at Calvary Chapel of Gridley for dinner and closing activities.
